Dr. Mark Weber:
Dr. Mark Weber, senior co-owner of Newberg Veterinary Hospital, has practiced Veterinary Medicine in Newberg for 23 years. A 1987 graduate of OSU, he completed an internship at Cornell University prior to returning to Oregon. Professional interests include challenging surgical and medical cases as well as orthopedics including cruciate ligament repair.

Dr. Greg Fischer:
Dr. Greg Fischer, co-owner, has been with our practice for 13 years sharing a special interest in both small and large animal medicine and surgery. He received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University and Washington State University. During his undergraduate at Oregon State, Dr. Fischer worked part-time at the Veterinary Hospital with their Llama and Alpaca research Department. These unique animals have become a continued passion for Dr. Fischer as he cares for a growing population in our area.

In his off-duty time Dr. Fischer enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and their menagerie of animals. His is also an avid outdoorsman and loves spending time in nature.

 

Dr. Tina Johnson:
Dr. Tina Johnson, a co-owner, has been with our practice for 12 years working primarily with small animals. Tina received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State where she graduated with honors at the top 10% of her class.

Although Tina maintains a special love for large animals, she concentrates most of her energy and time toward small animal medicine and surgery. Most recently, Tina has become a Certified Acupuncturist at her Alma Mater (Colorado State University) and is spending more and more time practicing alternative and complimentary medicine. Her acupuncture patients include dogs, cats, horses, llamas, alpacas, goats, sheep, dairy cows and even a turtle!

In her off-duty time, Tina enjoys gardening, being outdoors and spending time with her husband and two children.

Dr. Erin Tripp:

Dr. Erin Tripp joined our practice 6 years ago. She graduated from the University of Minnesota. Erin loves being in a mixed animal practice. She enjoys helping care for the llamas, alpacas and other farm animals in the area and has a special interest in nutrition and small animal medicine.

In her free time, Erin enjoys yoga and outdoor activities with her husband and son. At home she has 8 rescued llamas, a dog and a cat.


 Dr. Jaclyn Aschim:
The most recent addition to the Newberg Veterinary Hospital team, Jaclyn graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Jaclyn focuses on equine medicine and has a lifelong love of horses. While living in Yamhill, she was active in showing her Appaloosa horse. During veterinary school, she pursured addtional training in equine lameness, dentistry, reproduction, nutrition and surgery. Jaclyn is also excited to work with canine and feline general medicine and soft tissue surgery.

Jaclyn is married to a local grass seed farmer and lives in McMinnville where they raise their only child -- a chocolate lab named Diesel. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, riding horses and spending time with family.
